Why do people succumb to anger?
It feels so easy to slip into its grasp. But at the same time, from a distance, it looks quite stupid. Aren't we overreacting? What's the point of hitting one another, yelling at one another, going to war with one another? Yet when are up close, immersed in anger, we feel nothing but blissful rage, if that makes sense. Sweet revenge empowers us. Makes us feel as if we are at the top of the world. Maybe it is a survival mechanism. But I sure wish it weren't.

Avatar: Not the Last Airbender ;]
I went to Avatar yesterday, and surprisingly, it was good. The effects kicked 2012's butt, the idea was different, and the plot wasn't so bad either. It just sorta dragged in the middle though. So go watch it, if you haven't 'cause it was worth the headache I got after sitting in the theater with 3D glasses for 2 hrs 40!
My mom, like usual, was nonplussed after watching the movie. She claimed they were putting "flowers in her ear." We went home and started watching a stupid Telegu movie with an overacting hero. She looked a lot happier. I don't think my mom will ever like an English movie. She claims they're all fiction. Humph. Like the Indian movies are real...
Anyways, Avatar made me feel like I was in the movie. Now I just can't get it out of my head. So I will talk about stuffs here. *Warning: Spoilers*
1. I <3 Pandora. I mean all the pretty glow in the dark plants, the floating mountains, those weird horse and flying thingies. It was genius. 2. The movie has good meaning. I guess 2012 was sort of trying to get the same message across in a way, but Avatar sent a direct message saying "We need to save the Earth" and I'm pretty sure it got heard. 3. The People are awesome. I think they could wear a bit more clothes, but the way they live sounds so cool and peaceful. And they're slim AND BLUE. I wish I could be one of them... 4. I think Jake should have killed the bad marine dude in the end. I also think the heroine was a bit over-dramatic, crying excessively and stuff like that. What I never got though was why did Jake's bro die? Haha. For a while, I thought Jake was Tom Cruise. I have bad memory and recognition skills. :P 5. The marine dude is the only funny person in the movie. Which is messed up because he's the bad guy. He was all like "I want to get this done in time for dinner." and that was one of the only funny lines in the movie. 6. It's so sad that Jake is a cripple. You look at his legs and they're all skinny and stuff. And he has to go around in a wheelchair. But he gets stuff done. The real actor isn't a cripple right? I don't think he is, but my dad does... I like the scene where Jake syncs with the Avatar and just runs. It was a happy scene. He got his legs back. :D
Yeah, I'm not going to blurb today. I have to get some stuff done. I have a sore throat, which I think I got from Pickle. :[ I hope I can get Avatar out of my head. This is why I don't watch many movies in theaters. I take them too seriously.
Things I'm grateful for: -Presby (my stuffed blue monkey) -salt water -my laptop -AMC gift cards -YOU XD

Tick tock tick tock
Break's nearing to an end! This sucks. For once I've gotten loads of sleep, stayed "available" on gtalk, and gotten lots of music practice in.
Being a Carnatic music (South Indian) freak, I <3 listening to those songs, rather than hiphop, R&B, and stuffs. I guess the cool thing about Carnatic music is that it has an inspiring meaning. I'm in Choir and stuffs, too, and most of the songs we sang in the beginning were sort of prissy. I was devastated until ... we came to VIVALDI. You can say I have a thing for classical music because I am just crazy about this thing. Look it up on youtube. There are 12 movements and I would have to say my favorites are Et Interra Pax, Domine Fili, and Cum Sancto. XD Music rocks. It's relaxing, fun, and awesome.
The past few days were filled with random parties and video games. Yesterday I went to Pickle's house with Pilsbury. We went on Omegle.com to chat with a person who claims he was from LA. It was intense. We said we were CA grannies. FUNN. Then we ate FOOD (sandwiches which were yummy, but later gave me a tummy ache. pickle, it's not your fault, but I'm a picky eater :[ ) and drank tea. That is everyone, but me. I drank chocolate milk. For the record, I detest tea and coffee. I like milk though. XD
We watched Labyrinth. It was okay. You can imdb it if you want because I'm not going in any further detail than saying Jareth's pants were extremely annoying to see and LUDO IS MY HERO. That will be all about this movie.
I'm gonna watch Avatar in Imax 3D. I heard from one person the plot sucked but the effects were good. I heard that it was a love story? I don't know how much to trust that source as he was high on Pepsi... and I heard it was intense. I guess I'll find out for myself.
What's sad, though, is the Indian film industry has resorted to dubbing English movies and reaping millions from it. I turn on the Telegu channel on my TV and I see "avatar" dubbed in Telegu. Very pathetic. Especially how the name has evolved to "Avathar" <-- "incarnation" in Telegu and other Indian languages. My family friend and I (I'm gonna call him... GTA because we were talking about that game and his mom thought it was a good game. *cough cough* too bad she didn't know what the T stands for ;]). Well Drama King and I came to the conclusion that all Indian movies follow a template, namely the guy and girl find each other, but can't marry and have to fight to be united. So all Indian movies have excessive songs, romance scenes, fights, and melodrama. And they also steal from each other (different states) and borrow story lines from English movies. Tell me, how sad is that? Any "Different movie" which doesn't follow this template is usually a flop. This is why I can't stand Indian movies anymore. :| I believe in the statement "old is gold".
Anyways, I was planning to write a blurb about something so I guess I'll start it down here. Please give me comments/feedback/suggestions. Zanks!
The rose
Staring off into the distance, pearls trickled down her cheeks.
The beautiful, jagged slopes of the Alps, coated with an almost warm looking blanket of snow, stood proudly to her far right. The serene blue Lake Geneva bowed to the lofty summits with birds skimming the surface, trilling a simple song as they went.
The young girl stood in a grassy field, red-eyed from crying, with splotches on her modest smock. In her hand, was a rose. Pink and delicate, like the blades of grass around her, it swayed in the breeze. It was trapped, secured in her mistress's grasp.
Nothing was particularly wrong with the girl - not physically, anyway. She was slender and petite, with a fair complexion. She was the epitome of plainness - a poor orphan. Obviously, things weren't looking up for her.
Rubbing her eyes, she trudged back to her puny cottage, where she lived alone. As she turned, a sudden gust of wind blew the rose out of her hand. It flew in a graceful arch, its petals rippling with the breeze. Spinning, twirling the flower landed several yards away, in a lush flower bed.
With that the girl smiled, experiencing a feeling of ecstasy like no other. Her mouse brown hair flew around her, covering the grin on her face.
She looked back at the rose, then continued on to her cottage with a spring in her step.
She was the rose in the flowerbed, free at last.
Sorry guys, no dialogue. Wasn't in the mood for any. I think it was also a bit abrupt. :| So I'll be experimenting with this idea of blogging and blurbing. So until next time, keep smiling!

Joyeux Noël ou pas?
Merry Christmas, or not? Let me tell you the story of my Christmas.
I wake in the morning at 10ish to make myself some hot chocolate (yum). Then I shower, and sit around idle for the rest of the day UNTIL the dinner party. (GASP)
It wasn't so bad. The avacado dip they had was good. And they had ritz crackers. I tell you, there ain't a party withour ritz. xD But it was upstairs where it all took place. First we talked about school, which was boring. Then the two juniors there ranted about SATs and debated football (Chargers vs. Patriots) until the bright idea came across to go on YouTube.
We crowded around the computer to see spongebob on drugs, the Legion trailer (esp. the tarantula dude), and batman on drugs. It was amusing.
After that, there was Madden and the moron test (on the iTouch), both of which resulted in a lot of yelling. I chuckled a bit, yet stayed to the side. For some reason, I just wasn't in my element. I felt surprisingly calm yet sad. I was tired and just wanted to go home.
I sat staring blankly 'till around 1:30 AM. My bro was laughing hysterically, and behind his back one junior said he could picture him as a macho with all the chicks. I looked at my brother, and realized that some things are better not happening.
And so ended the Christmas of an average cheesy French loving Indian. Without any presents. But with some awesome curry and paneer and fried rice and brownies...
Some things I'm grateful for -computers -Sunkist -Impossible Quiz (still haven't passed it) -croissants -friends (however weird they may be) -transparent sinks!

C'est moi!
That's right. It's me! Call me a weirdo, a freak, I don't care. I'm La Fille en Verte. xD This blog is where you can find odd blurbs and snippets about moi's life in the zone. There are no guarantees that I'll blog a lot, but I will try to blog once a week? Happy? You better be 'cause I am.
Merry Christmas! I don't celebrate Christmas, but my family does have its sentiments: namely spend an hour putting up a 20 year old hunk of shedding plastic which is supposed to be a tree. Fun? I think not. But I did once upon a time. I guess it's better to do chores like washing dishes (ugh) and all with a willing mind.
I started reading Kahlil Gibran - a Lebanese author. Here's one of my favorite poems by him.
Song of The Flower I am a kind word uttered and repeated By the voice of Nature; I am a star fallen from the Blue tent upon the green carpet. I am the daughter of the elements With whom Winter conceived; To whom Spring gave birth; I was Reared in the lap of Summer and I Slept in the bed of Autumn.
At dawn I unite with the breeze To announce the coming of light; At eventide I join the birds In bidding the light farewell.
The plains are decorated with My beautiful colors, and the air Is scented with my fragrance.
As I embrace Slumber the eyes of Night watch over me, and as I Awaken I stare at the sun, which is The only eye of the day.
I drink dew for wine, and hearken to The voices of the birds, and dance To the rhythmic swaying of the grass.
I am the lover's gift; I am the wedding wreath; I am the memory of a moment of happiness; I am the last gift of the living to the dead; I am a part of joy and a part of sorrow.
But I look up high to see only the light, And never look down to see my shadow. This is wisdom which man must learn.
This guy is awesome! He wrote some short story like things, but they are all sad stories about the oppressed. I'd say his poems are more thought stimulating.
Well, got to eat lunch now... Upma yum. I <3 Indian food.
